ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
FALL ENROLLMENT BEGINS MONDAY, OCT. 24 AT 8AM.
We are offering the classes below for the Fall Session which runs run November 7th - December 16th. Programs will run in 5-week sessions for $50 and take place at Calvin Leete, immediately after school from 3:25 - 4:25. Financial assistance is available by contacting our social worker, Melissa Carney, through the main office.

Art – See art in a new way! We will learn about the color wheel and how to mix colors to create different shades. Use color, line, space, and light to make your art stand out and pop off the page. Bright Acrylics, Multi-media collage and Pastels.
This class will be taught by Calvin Leete Parent and Artist, Mirjana Toyn.
Offered in 1 session to Grades K-4 on Wednesdays - ART ROOM.
Students can expect to develop basic self defense movements, improved balance and focus, work ethic, core strengthening, team building, family and community values, and the importance of diet and rest. Bring a positive attitude and exercise clothing and we will bring the rest!
This class will be taught by third degree Black Belt Jim Petonito, owner of Guilford Kenpo Karate School.
Offered to Grades K-4 on Thursdays - GYMNASIUM.
Zumba for kids classes feature kid-friendly routines. We will break down the steps, add games, activities, and cultural exploration into the class. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, coordination, and many more.
This class wil be taught by Calvin Leete Parent Jori Smith.
Offered to Grades 2-4 on Wednesdays - GYMNASIUM.
This is not your ordinary math club! Numbers are anything but boring in this new after school program. Kids will jump, play, and build to learn mathematical concepts while having tons of fun.
This class will be taught by Calvin Leete Parent Melissa Garuti, Guilford Public Schools Paraprofessional, and Chris Garuti, GHS Honor Student and team member of Apple Pi Robotics.
Offered to Grades K-2 on Fridays - ROOM 11.
Taught by Bajram Metjahic, Guilford High School Junior. Bajram is an avid and esteemed chess player. He will introduce chess to beginners, and help new and experienced players improve their skills. Beginners and advanced players welcome.
Offered to Grades 1-4 on Mondays - ROOM 11.
