Enrollment is accepted in the order received.  All classes are in-person and run from 3:30-4:30pm and will be held indoors unless otherwise noted. Please note class dates carefully: some classes run over non-consecutive weeks due to school and teacher scheduling. The fee for each

Did you know it takes twelve honey bees to get one teaspoon of honey or that honey bees are responsible for pollinating 1/3 of the food we eat from blueberries in Maine to almonds in California and everything in between? We’ll learn the importance of honey bees and local pollinators, the inner workings of a honey bee hive, the flowers they forage on and other fascinating beekeeping facts. Join us in the outdoor classroom as we learn all about bees from a local Guilford beekeeper. Taught by David Hall, Calvin Leete parent and experienced beekeeper.

Feeling foggy at school? Power Up with Bunny Breath! Stir-crazy at story time? Calm Down with Balloon Belly Breath. Calling all Kid Yogis! Did you know your energy level can affect how you feel? It’s totally normal! Yoga techniques give you special powers to alter your own energy level, so you’re in charge of you! In this class, you’ll learn to notice and regulate how you feel. Our young artists will “travel” around the world to view artwork from different countries, cultures, or artists. This class is taught by Kristen Skoneiczny who has been teaching artenrichment in elementary schools and preschools for the past several years. 5-week session, Grades K-4.

Now more than ever do kids need the opportunity to be kids!
Play is extremely important for mental health. In this outdoor, fitness and fun based-class, we will play games including tag, yoga, run races, & obstacle courses. With play comes problem solving, relationship building, teamwork skills, moving their bodies, and expelling energy, all while having fun and getting exercise. Taught by Emir Metjahic, Guilford High School student and experienced chess coach, and Julie Metjahic. Emir is an enthusiastic chess player who will help introduce chess in a fun way to beginners and help new and experienced players improve their skills. All levels welcome. 4-week session, Grades 2-4.

This IN PERSON cooking class will give students the opportunity to prepare special meals and treats! Classes will be held at school and will be no-bake desserts and healthy meals. Recipes this session include Flower Power Dirt Cake, Healthy Creamy Chicken Caesar Wrap, Berry Cheesecake Parfaits, and Summer Sand Trifle. Taught by Mary Amter, experienced teacher and owner of Mary’s Culinary Classes. 4-week session, Grades K-4. Note: Class has an additional $5/class materials fee payable upon registration.
